Huntsville, AL (WAAY/CNN) -
An adult store in Alabama says it’s trying to spread some holiday cheer,
but the “Toys for Tots” program isn’t happy. Pleasures was collecting donations for the
U.S. Marines’ kids’ charity, and offering a free adult toy for the donors.
“Toys for Tots” said it didn’t want its name associated with the store,
and demanded that Pleasures remove the charity’s logo from ads and signs.
The store manager’s not sure what the fuss is about.
“Pleasures has been donating to charities for the 19 years……
Alabama adult store in hot water for trading adult toys for kids’ toys
An adult store in Alabama said it’s trying to spread some holiday cheer,
but the “Toys for Tots” program is not happy. Pleasures adult store is collecting donations for the
U.S. Marines’ kids’ charity and is offering a free adult toy in exchange for the kids’ toy……
It’s encouraging when the general public is supportive
of my “outside the box” promotional campaigns!
Toys for Tots described my charity drive as inappropriate,
but many feel that it doesn’t matter where a donation comes from and applaud the effort. See the article on blogs.babble.com The Sexy Santa radio remote netted 18 toy donations today!
Thank You for your support
Santa Claus might have them on his naughty list, but would he be OK with Pleasures,
an adult store at 4408 University Drive, collecting Toys for Tots?

Adult store drops Toys for Tots logo
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — An adult novelty shot in Huntsville has agreed to
remove signs and logos from the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation from its
effort to collect children’s toys during the holiday season. Managers of Pleasures say the store
has been collecting donated toys for children, and those who donate may select a free adult toy for themselves……
America’s first adult store drive-thru holds ‘Toys for Tots and Ta-Tas’ toy drive
Pleasures’ owner, Sherri Williams, is dedicated to giving back to the community for all of their support
throughout the store’s 19 year history. Through the ‘Toys for Tots and Ta-Tas’ campaign,
those donating children’s toys will receive a free adult toy from Pleasures.
For every toy collected, Pleasures will also donate a dollar to the Save the Ta-Tas program.
“It’s a good old fashioned toy drive complete with our very own Dirty Santa and his Sexy Mrs. Claus,” stated Williams.
“This event will be fun for adults of all ages!”
Give them a speak and spell, they’ll donate you a pocket rocket. According to The Huffington Post,
Pleasures Adult Store in Huntsville, Alabama launched a new charity (and novelty) initiative today.
What will they think of next?
“We are helping children, and saving the breasts that feed them.”
The drive began Nov. 20 and runs through Dec. 15. On Dec. 3
local Huntsville radio station 95.1 will be broadcasting from Pleasures,
where donators can pose for a picture with Dirty Santa or Sexy Mrs. Claus.
Pleasures, Alabama Adult Store, Holds ‘Toys For Tots and Ta-Tas’ Charity Drive
Pleasures owner Sherri Williams told The Huffington Post the idea for the dual-charity drive came naturally to her.
She is a long-time supporter of breast cancer research and, since it’s Christmas, she also wanted to
something to help children in need. And while the thought of an adult store holding a
toy drive for children might strike some as unusual, Williams said it’s a perfect fit.
“Well, you’ve got to wonder how we all got here,” Williams told The Huffington Post.
“Passion played a part in that.”
“It’s a good old fashioned toy drive complete with our very own dirty Santa and his sexy Mrs. Claus,”
Pleasures’ owner Sherri Williams said in a release. “This event will be fun for adults of all ages.”
We’d like to take a moment to point out to Major Murray that the only thing “inappropriate”
here is his rather shameful attitude. For what possible reason should Toys for Tots not be “advertised”
(not that this is advertisement, by any means – being a collection point is not advertising, it’s service)
in an adult store? Everybody understands that a store putting out a Toys for Tots bin
is a one-way endorsement: the store supports T4T, not the other way around, so even if the
Marines have some weird, outdated objection to Pleasures,
the store hosting a collection bin doesn’t change that…….
